We have been farming as a family for the past 4 generations, across the hills around Hoylandswaine. We have used time-honoured practices passed down through the years to create a farm with outstanding animal welfare, while using the latest advancements in agricultural technology. 

We pride ourselves on producing a local, fresh, British product – perfect for a cup of tea!

John, Val, James and Alex Hill

  • James and Alex moved back to the farm in 2018, got married in 2020 and launched Milk from the Hills in 2022.

    They’re passionate about creating a self-sufficient farm and producing sustainable, low food mile high quality milk.

  • John has grown up on the family farm all his life, and was joined by Val when they got married in 1986.

    John is a match ploughing enthusiast, becoming World Ploughman 3 times.
